6 Overview
EU Health Claims Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006 requires all health claims on supplements to be pre-authorized by EFSA. Only claims with sufficient scientific evidence are approved and listed in the EU Register. This is one of the world's strictest health claim systems — EFSA has rejected the majority of submitted claims [1].
