1. Licence

Original editorial content and the structured ingredient and label dataset are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0). You are free to share and adapt the data, including for commercial purposes, provided you give appropriate credit and indicate any changes.

2. How to attribute

Please attribute as: "SupplementIndex, Public Health Institute of Georgia (PHIG), supplement.ge, CC BY 4.0." Where practical, link back to the source entry.

3. Third-party data

Some data are derived from or reference third-party sources that carry their own terms — including product records from the NIH Dietary Supplement Label Database and the names and marks of certification programmes (for example, USP, NSF). These remain the property of their respective owners and are referenced for identification and education. CC BY 4.0 covers our original content and compilation, not these third-party rights.

4. API use

The public API and data export (data.json) are provided for legitimate research, clinical, and development use. Please use reasonable request rates and cache responses where possible. We may rate-limit or restrict access that degrades the service for others. The API is provided without warranty and may change.

5. No misrepresentation

You must not present adapted data in a way that implies PHIG endorses your product or conclusions, or that misrepresents the safety of any substance. Safety classifications must not be reproduced in a way that strips the accompanying cautions and context.
