About
ABM mushroom with high beta-glucan content. Immunostimulatory, anti-tumour, and blood sugar effects used as cancer adjunct.
How it works (mechanism of action)
Beta-1,3/1,6-glucans activate pattern recognition receptors (Dectin-1, TLR2) on innate immune cells, triggering NF-kB and MAPK cascades for NK cell activation and cytokine production. Triterpenoids and ergosterol provide additional species-specific pharmacological activities.
