Clinical verdict
Germanium supplements are one of the most dangerous supplement categories: INORGANIC germanium causes FATAL renal failure. 'Organic' germanium (Ge-132) is pharmacologically different but products are frequently contaminated with nephrotoxic inorganic forms. Japan's Serocion® (propagermanium) was approved then WITHDRAWN for hepatotoxicity. FDA import alert on germanium products. NO safe form for self-supplementation [1].
