About

Gelatin derived from fish skin and scales. Used as halal and kosher alternative to bovine/porcine gelatin. Gelling properties differ from mammalian gelatins. Fish allergy risk for sensitive individuals.

Fish allergy: CONTRAINDICATED in fish-allergic individuals. Otherwise acceptable for halal and kosher consumers (fish gelatin is generally permitted). Not suitable for vegetarians or vegans. Slightly lower gelling strength than mammalian gelatins.
