Chaga (Inonotus obliquus)
Birch-parasitic fungus from Siberia and North America. Betulinic acid, triterpenes, and melanin complex with antioxidant and immune properties. Gaining popularity in longevity circles.
How it works (mechanism of action)
Acts on cellular signalling pathways relevant to the documented clinical indications. Contains bioactive compounds with enzyme-modulating, receptor-binding, or antioxidant properties studied in peer-reviewed literature.
Anticoagulant: oxalate content — kidney stone risk with high doses (very high oxalate). Drug interactions: anticoagulants, insulin (blood glucose lowering). Kidney stone history: HIGH OXALATE content — AVOID or limit severely. Autoimmune: immunostimulant. Pregnancy: insufficient data.
