About
Celery seed contains phthalides and apigenin with diuretic, anti-inflammatory, uricosuric (uric acid-lowering), and liver-supporting effects.
How it works (mechanism of action)
Provides hepatoprotective effects via antioxidant enzyme induction (GPx, SOD), NF-kB suppression reducing hepatocyte apoptosis, and cytochrome P450 modulation. Choleretic action stimulates bile flow and composition benefiting lipid digestion and hepatic detoxification.
