Atropa belladonna
Deadly nightshade containing tropane alkaloids atropine, scopolamine, and hyoscyamine — potent anticholinergic agents. Pharmaceutical-grade preparations exist for specific medical indications. As an unregulated supplement the alkaloid content is highly variable making it extremely dangerous.

DANGEROUS: therapeutic window extremely narrow. Anticholinergic toxidrome: dry mouth, urinary retention, tachycardia, mydriasis, hyperthermia, delirium, seizures, coma, death. Contraindicated in glaucoma, BPH, myasthenia gravis, cardiac disease. Drug interactions: antihistamines, antipsychotics, tricyclic antidepressants. NOT permitted as food supplement.
