About
B. bifidum is dominant in infant gut microbiome. Evidence for IBS, traveller's diarrhoea prevention, and immune support. Produces sialidase helping break down glycoproteins in gut mucus.
How it works (mechanism of action)
Produces sialidase for mucus glycoprotein metabolism. Adheres to intestinal epithelium. Produces lactic and acetic acid lowering gut pH.
